Some professing Christians have rejected universalism intellectually, but practically they may end up leading universalistic lives. They claim Christ is necessary for salvatoin, yet they live their Christianity in silence, as if people around them in the world will indeed be okay in the end without Christ. -take from Radical by David Platt.

God's love song.
One of my family’s favorite songs came on yesterday. As we were all listening to it, I starting thinking of it as God’s love song to me rather than a love song between a man and a women. It did unbelieveable things for my heart, soul, and mind. Read these lyrics as if God is singing them to you. (chorus) click here for the rest of the song I will stand by you. I will help you...

new eats.
I’ve recently been enjoying some new found products and food combinations. I thought I’d share the deliciousness. =) First up, Bolthouse Yogurt Dressing. I have fallen in love with this dressing. I love the flavor and the creaminess,  not to mention that it is so much better for you! I love the Blue Cheese flavor as well as the Ranch, and I typically don’t like Ranch! An...

make room.
During devotion yesterday morning, I stumbled across notes from a Bible study I took. The lesson covered contentment. A quote stuck with me through the day. We can’t be filled with Him, if our life has no space for Him. Just a reminder how important my daily devotions are.

1 Peter 3:3
I have found a new theme verse for myself. Going over it in my mind helps me through the struggles during the day. 1 Peter 3:3-4 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within; the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is so precious to God....

Healthy Choice.
You know I love my frozen entrees. Such an easy easy option for lunch.  I love trying new ones. So here comes Healthy Choice’s newest product.  I wasn’t sure about it at first-it seemed kind of small-but once I saw “sweet potatoes” I had to get it.  Honestly, it didn’t wow me. =/ Plus, it was kind of small, so I had something along side it to fill my tummy.  ...

chronological devotions.
I’ve recently started reading the Bible chronologically. It is amazing! Who knew the Bible wasn’t in order?! I learn completely new things even when reading passages I’ve read a million times before.  I highly recommend checking this out for yourself!

cefiore.
Cefiore Frozen Yogurt recently opened in a strip mall about 10 minutes from my house. I have been wanting to try it for forever. I finally got the chance today! It was heaven. They offer four flavors (the flavors change daily) and endless topping options. I went with Raspberry Pomegrante topped with pineapple and fruity pebbles(fav!). The nice guy behind the counter gave me two coupons, so I...

Desires of the heart.
The Lord has completely overwhelmed me this week. The way God works is astounding. I have recently learned just how true Psalm 37:4 is. Delight thyself in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of thine heart. It seems like God just laid one of my biggest desires right at my feet!! I am praying he gives me wisdom, also. Along with this desire comes a load of responsibility. So, I am...

beautiful passage.
I am absolutely loving my Thursday morning Bible study. The class leader introduced us to a passage today that we, as a class, are going to try and memorize.  It is a beautiful, beautiful passage.  Psalm 139 (New Living Translation). 1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my every thought when far away. 3 You...

I think Amy’s Palak Paneer is delicious, but Ethnic Gourmet is pretty dang good too! My only complaint-this was not medium spiced.  Loved it, though!  slow cooked spinach. home-made style cheese cubes. tossed in a savory (not spicy) sauce. seasoned, long grain brown rice.

bible study.
I started a Bible study Wednesday night, and judging by how the class went, it seems as if it is going to be a great class. I can’t wait till next week!  One verse we went over really stuck in my mind.  John 16:32-33 Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have...

rich chocolate love.
My family doesn’t love chocolate like I do, so I rarely bake chocolate goodies. But, I was craving it, so I whipped up a batch of cupcakes with my favorite rich chocolate cake recipe. It was SO good. I enjoyed multiple cupcakes…=) yummm.

Jeremiah 17:9-10
The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.

Ethnic Gourmet Chicken Tandoori
Since I love Amy’s Frozen Indian meals, I decided to give Ethnic Gourmet a try. (I also got them on sale. =)) Seasoned chicken in creamy spinach accompained by long-grain brown rice. My rice kind of overflowed while in the microwave…. YUM! I went back the next day and bought different meals to try. A deffinite YES for Ethnic Gourmet! The only thing I would disagree with is, I...

calm my mind.
The night before my birthday party, my mind was driving me crazy. I had so much to do the next day. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it all done. I knew I had to calm my racing head down before bed, or I would never sleep. The solution? I snuggled up in my reading chair with a good book and Ben & Jerry’s. so delicious and relaxing. It worked perfectly. =)

Bible stories.
I am currently enjoying a huge mug of hazelnut coffee, thinking about my day.  On the agenda: coupon clipping.  grocery shopping.  church. bible study. next foodnetwork star.  I have been enjoying great devotions this week. Rather than read the same versus I usually read, I wanted to try something new. I settled on the book of Jeremiah.  It is so different than what I thought! It made me...

new in stores.
So I just recently noticed Lean Cuisine has come out with new steamer frozen entrees. My Mom loves Healthy Choice’s Cafe Steamers, so I grabbed this to give it a try. At first, the bag feels like it has a lot in it. I was excited! Asiago Cheese Tortellini with red peppers, squash, and tomato vodka sauce. After dumping the (hot!) pasta and veggies into the bowl, I was a bit...

Amy's veggie rice bowl.
I have been on a frozen entree kick lately. I can’t help it. It’s a delicious, quick option for lunch. Therefore, I have several frozen entree reviews coming up. Amy’s brown rice and vegetable bowl: tofu brown rice onions, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, celery, etc. sesame tahini sauce I wasn’t paying attention when I grabbed this because I am definitely not...

When I first started drinking Revival Soy shakes, I didn’t really like them, but I had to drink them.  I have finally found a way to make them taste good!  This past week these shakes have made a great grab-and-go breakfast for those days I had to go babysit early.  what i use: 1 cup liquid. (usually 1/2 water and 1/2 almond milk 1 packet revival soy protein. (strawberry flavor is...

kiddos, chocolate, and patience.
It has been one long, long day. Right now, all I want is a hot mug of cappuccino and a huge square of chocolate. One more day of taking care of four rambunctious kiddos then I get a weekend with my sister! Lord, cover me with patience tomorrow!

Palak Paneer-amazing.
I love quick, easy dinners (or lunches). I recently picked up Amy’s Indian Palak Paneer. I wasn’t too sure about it at first, but I am SO glad I tried it! (the bad pictures are due to the fact that I was absolutely famished….) Palak (spinach) Paneer (fresh indian cheese) creamed together, served with rice and rajmah dal (beans). At first, it wasn’t appetizing to...

Psalm 19:7-8
(The Message) The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. I have greatly been enjoying my devotion time. I love the verses He points out just for me.

Proverbs 6: 20-23
(The Message) Good friend, follow your father’s good advice; don’t wander off from your mother’s teachings. Wrap yourself in them from head to foot; wear them like a scarf around your neck. Wherever you walk, they’ll guide you; whenever you rest, they’ll guard you; when you wake up, they’ll tell you what’s next. For sound advice is a beacon, good...
